Symon Construction were awarded this civil engineering contract in 2016 to construct a 1800m2 extension to Colas Rail’s moving stock maintenance facility.

The project includes for the construction of a steel clad, steel frame and extensive groundworks for the inclusion of extension to two rail inspection pits and the construction of two new ones.

Ground conditions required the installation of 360 steel driven piles.
