This project included the conversion of the derelict old changing room block into a premier function facility for match day hospitality and corporate events for the football club.
The new facility was officially opened in November 2014, with the Mayor of Rugby Ramish Srivastava and local Member of Parliament Mark Pawsey on-hand to perform the ceremonial duties.
Works included structural works, a new roof, a new sliding door partition and a new kitchen installation to allow formal catering.
There was also works required to upgrade the incoming three phase mains electricity supply.
The work was completed thanks to a grant from The Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF).
Joint guest of honour Mark Pawsey, MP reflected: “It was a privilege to attend the opening ceremony for the new hospitality suite at Rugby Town FC.
“I’ve seen just how hard members of the club have worked to make the project a reality and this excellent new facility will have a tremendous benefit for both the club and local community in coming years.”
